You had your six month check up on Friday. You have gotten so big! 25 3/4" long and 18lb 4oz! Dr Daley said we should start feeding you TWO solid meals a day. You also get juice in a zippy cup now. Although its not a lot, and you're not quite sure HOW to get the juice out, you try hard because you like the taste.

Today is daddy's 26th birthday. You bought him the new Madden game. He's excited about that. Nana and Papa got him a jogging stroller and he built it almost immediately! He's so excited to take you on a job. You got to sit in daddy's lap during birthday cake singing and blowing out candles. You were so sad when the candles were all done. You loved the lights.

Today we went to the pumpkin patch. You enjoyed it considering you're only 6 months. You tolerated the pictures mommy made you take, and LOVED playing with dirt. You picked out your own pumpkin (we put two out in front of you and let you reach for the one you wanted) and daddy let you pick out a few gourds by holding you over the bin and letting you grab at them.

In the past few weeks you have been doing so much exploring. Exploring of your body motions (i.e.; tantrums with full arch back, arm and leg movements) and of nature. You LOVE to sit outside on the grass and just look around at the trees blowing leaves. You also love to crunch leaves in your hands - you think thats awesome!

You giggle a lot now; when daddy tells jokes, when we tickle you, when we give you a toy, but take it right back. Things like that make your day. You're such a happy baby and your smile is infectious!

Mama loves that you reach out to be picked up now when you want cuddles. You also learned how to give kisses! You open your mouth and lick our faces, but we love it all the same. Another new thing you do is give hugs! Its not on demand yet, but you do it when you want to.

We love you so much, baby boy. You're the light of our lives.
